Site: Brennilis, Finistère
France's only power-producing heavy-water reactor, an experimental CEA/EDF unit in the Monts d'Arrée, Brittany. First went critical in December 1966. Its ongoing decommissioning is one of the longest and most contested in France. Permanently shut down 31 July 1985.
