In commercial operation — the operator has formally declared the unit in regular commercial service. Second CAP1400 (Guohe One) demonstration unit. Not listed in IAEA PRIS; PRIS's "SHIDAOWAN-2" is a separate Huaneng HPR1000 unit (construction start 2025) at the same site. WNA notes construction start date is from satellite data and official first concrete may be up to 12 months earlier.
March 2022 announcement targeted commercial operation of both CAP1400 units in 2025; that target has passed and no updated official criticality target was found as of July 2026
