The Enrico Fermi Nuclear Power Plant at Trino Vercellese, a Westinghouse pressurized water reactor that reached first criticality on 21 June 1964 — in 1964 the third commercially operated PWR in the world. Permanently shut down on 1 July 1990 after the 1987 Italian nuclear referendum; now under SOGIN decommissioning.
